HOW DOES THE CORONAVIRUS COVID-19 POTENTIALLY IMPACT HOW WE CARE FOR YOU?
Peninsula Endodontics is committed to caring for you in a way that is safe for you, as well as all of our other patients and staff. We are carefully monitoring updates and guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the Virginia Department of Health. We recognize there's a lot of information in the news and on social media about Coronavirus COVID-19. So, we want to share what we know, and how it could potentially impact how we care for you.
CORONAVIRUS COVID-19What is it?
Coronaviruses are a family of viruses that can cause the common cold. Coronavirus or COVID-19 is part of that same family of viruses, but is a new strain and can cause severe infections of the lungs and airways.
What are the symptoms of COVID-19?
Symptoms range from mild to severe but typically appear between 2 to 14 days after infection and include fever, dry cough, and shortness of breath. Some patients experience fatigue, muscle aches, sore throats, and/or headaches before the onset of the fever, cough, and shortness of breath typically associated with COVID-19.
If you have COVID-19, symptoms of COVID-19, or recently traveled to an area where COVID-19 is known to be prevalent, should you come in for Endodontic care?
NO.
Please call the office at 757-903-2577 and the doctor will discuss pain management until you are able to be treated. Routine Endodontic care without pain and swelling can wait until after you’re feeling better and symptom-free for 14 days without the use of medications for fever, cough, etc.
The Coronavirus COVID-19 situation is changing, and we will continue to review the latest information daily from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) so that we can provide the best possible care, safely, to you and all of our patients. If you have any further questions or concerns please call the office at 757-903-2577
Thank you for entrusting us with your care.
